Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Main Street Orthodontics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or contact us through it. It is in addition to — not a replacement for — our Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), which you will receive at your first office visit.

Information we collect

When you fill out a form on our website (including the complimentary consultation request form), we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, how you heard about us, and any notes you add. We do not collect Social Security numbers, full medical histories, or treatment records through this website — that information is collected in our office under the protections of HIPAA.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit to:
  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
  • Communicate with you about your appointment, treatment, or account
  • Improve our services and respond to questions from current and prospective patients

HIPAA and protected health information

When you become a patient of Main Street Orthodontics, the information we collect about your health is “protected health information” (PHI) under HIPAA. You will receive our Notice of Privacy Practices at your first visit, which explains in detail how we handle, share, and protect PHI. Information submitted through a website form before you become a patient is treated with the same standard of care as PHI, even though it may not technically meet the HIPAA definition.

How we protect your information

Your form data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Inquiries received through this website are reviewed by limited authorized staff. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with marketers. We are working to move all patient communication through systems that operate under HIPAA Business Associate Agreements; until that transition is complete, please use website forms only for general inquiry — not for clinical information.

Web-form security notice

No method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we do not represent the consultation request form as a HIPAA-secure channel. Please do not include detailed medical history, diagnoses, prescriptions, or other sensitive health information in any website form. If you need to share that kind of information, please call our office at (732) 254-1244 or wait until your in-office visit.

Cookies, local storage, and analytics

Our website uses essential cookies and browser local storage to remember preferences — for example, dismissing the one-time welcome notice. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future (for example, to understand which pages are most useful), we will update this policy and provide a way to opt out.

Your rights

You have the right to: ask what information we have about you; correct inaccurate information; ask us to delete information we hold (subject to limits required by law and our record-keeping obligations); and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at smile@bracesonmain.com.

Children's privacy

We provide orthodontic care for patients of all ages, including children. When a parent or guardian fills out a form on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian is responsible for that child's information and consents to its use as described in this Policy. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when the latest version took effect.
